Job Opening for Pharmacist In Charge

Pharmacist In Charge is needed to perform the following duties:

· Review prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.

· Compound medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.Directs Dispensary workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.

· Answer questions and provides information to Dispensary customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals. Medication allergy screening, Drug Drug interactions, Patient counseling and Immunizations.

· Gather data on competitors and analyze prices, sales and methods of Marketing and distributors and assist the Pharmacy department, and vice president to help determine the products to carry.

· Assist the vice president to formulate pricing on over the counter merchandise according to requirements of profitability of store operations.

· Work with the vice president to authorize the sales promotion activities and direct merchandise display. Create bi-annual sales promotion activities report for the president to review and establish changes.

· Supervise employees such as store & front desk clerks in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling each with sales receipts.

· Keep operating records and proper daily record of transactions for accounting purposes as per the company’s policies;

· Place merchandise orders and prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise on hands.

· Ensure compliance of employee’s security, sales and record keeping procedures as per the company policies. Evaluate stock clerks and front desk clerk’s performances and create performance review reports for vice president.

· Review Medicare patient’s eligibility for medications and ordering of medications as per insurance requirements.

· Assist the president in developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures that reflect quality, and safe delivery of health care services and provide exceptional customer and guest relations

· Analyze the departmental operational program on a continuing basis and make recommendations to the president for any changes thus ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.

· Coordinate with staff to ensure department compliance with policies, procedures, by laws, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines; medications as per insurance requirements.

Bachelor's Degree is required in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Pharmaceutics

Pharmacist In Charge needed w/Master’s degree or Foreign Equivalent in Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Pharmacy and one (1) year experience as Pharmacist In Charge performing the following job duties:

Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications. Reviews and processes prescriptions. Directs pharmacy technicians. Patient counseling on dose, side effects, drug-drug interactions and storage of medications. Quality assurance, inventory control of drugs and safe storage of drugs, Narcotic and controlled medications. Medication therapy management, explain drug coverage through various prescription plans with medical personnel. Administer Immunization, Flu, Pneumonia and Shingles vaccines to the patient on doctor’s prescription order. Supervise one Technician. Use PrimeRX software.

Must have PA State Registered Pharmacist License.

Hours:

Monday – Friday - 11:00am – 7:00pm (1 Hour Lunch Break)

Saturday – 10:00am – 3:00pm

Day Off: Sunday
